In the case of large-scale failure of a mobile voice or SMS traffic, participants of the Regional Roaming Protocol can, at the request of the affected party, let their customers temporarily roam on the networks of other mobile operators.
How does it work?
The data are exchanged via a controlled and save environment through a central IT infrastructure in the event of deployment of Regional Roaming. COIN supports these joint processes and support participants at the Regional Roaming Protocol at their annual tests.
